Transfer Students
Regardless of age, students who have accumulated at least 12 term hours of non-developmental college credit may transfer to LSUA if they meet all transfer requirements. To be admitted from another regionally accredited college or university, a transfer student must meet the following:
- Be eligible to return to the institution from which s/he is transferring – must provide a letter of good standing or transcripts that demonstrate not on academic suspension;
- Have earned at least a 2.0 GPA on all college work attempted; and
- Have need for no more than one developmental course.
Admission Exceptions
Students who do not meet the admissions criteria listed above may be considered for a limited number of admission exceptions. The Admissions and Records Office will notify students who qualify for these exceptions.
Provisional Admission
Until all final official transcript(s) is received and evaluated, the applicant is considered to be provisionally admitted. Full admission will not be granted until the final transcript has been received and evaluated. The University may grant provisional admission until the fourteenth day of a fall or spring term or the seventh day of the summer term. Students whose records are not complete by these deadlines will have their registrations canceled.
